1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using The Crucible ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

The Crucible is a web-based fitness and nutrition tracking application. Features include workout logging, nutrition tracking, AI-powered food photo analysis, workout plan generation, body composition tracking, water intake monitoring, and social/community features.

3. Account & Eligibility

• You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
• You are responsible for all activity under your account.
• One account per person. Do not share your login credentials.

4. Free Trial & Subscription

New users receive a 30-day free trial with full access to all features. After the trial period, continued access requires a paid subscription. Pricing and plans are displayed in the app. We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days notice.

5. AI Features

• AI-powered features (food photo analysis, plan generation, InBody scan reading) are limited to 30 uses per day.
• AI-generated nutrition estimates are approximations and should not be used as a substitute for professional dietary advice.
• AI-generated workout plans are suggestions. Consult a medical professional before starting any exercise program.
• Images submitted for AI analysis are processed by our AI provider and are not permanently stored.

6. Health Disclaimer

The Crucible is not a medical device or service. The information provided — including calorie targets, TDEE calculations, adaptive coaching suggestions, and AI-generated plans — is for informational purposes only. It is not medical advice. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional before making changes to your diet or exercise routine, especially if you have any medical conditions.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to access other users' data or accounts
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code
• Use automated tools to scrape or interact with the Service
• Upload harmful, abusive, or inappropriate content
• Abuse AI features by submitting non-food/non-fitness images
• Circumvent rate limits or usage restrictions

8. Your Data

You retain ownership of the data you enter into the Service. You can export your data at any time (Settings > Export Data) and delete your account and all data at any time (Settings > Danger Zone). See our Privacy Policy for full details on how we handle your data.

9. Community Guidelines

When using community features, treat other users with respect. We reserve the right to remove users who engage in harassment, spam, or inappropriate behavior.

10. Service Availability

We strive to keep the Service available 24/7 but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may perform maintenance, updates, or experience outages. We are not liable for any loss of data or access during such periods.

11. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, The Crucible and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

12. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time from Settings.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. We will notify users of material changes.
